LIGHT ART PROJECTIONS

Experience a vibrant showcase of local artists and musicians over eleven nights. Ipswich landmarks will be illuminated with projected artworks from local artists and accompanied by local musicians performing each night of the festival.
Each evening will highlight different artists with a chance to hear about their inspiration and artistic processes in nightly talks.

Relax and enjoy animated artworks and live music under the starry sky, hear talks from the festival artists and gather together before heading on to one of the many live shows, performances and exhibitions on offer across Ipswich.
While here, be sure to take in the mesmerising ground projection created with artwork elements of Festival Feature Artist, Renee Yates.

Are you ready for 143 Brisbane Street to be transformed into a dynamic outdoor gallery?
Local artists will have their works brought to life through collaboration with Projection Artist James Muller (Earth Base Productions), resulting in a stunning display of vibrant moving images.
Each night will showcase an individual artists work, culminating on the final night of the festival in a compilation of all artists work.

deLight: St Paul's Anglican Church

St Paul’s Anglican Church is the canvas for projection of the diverse works of Ipswich First Nation artists in a collaboration with Projection Artist James Muller (Earth Base Productions).
Artists are Chenaya Bancroft-Davis, Kacie Fahey, Danielle Leedie Gray, Kylie Hill, Jennifer Kent, Jacob Sarra and Robin ‘Tallman’ Wakkajinda.
St Paul’s Anglican Church will be open each evening of the festival from 6pm – 9pm. All are welcome to head inside the church and enjoy the space.

SAE Creative Media Institute students produce animations and a lighting displays all inspired by festival artist Renee Yates artwork Home.
This collaboration provides a capacity building opportunity for students who will showcase their talents for all to enjoy during Spark Ipswich. Students animators include Ashleigh Scriven, Rebecca Thomson, Sam Barham, Connor Galy and Oliver Harris.
