3 May: Planes, Trains and Autos presents Fully Charged
Queensland Museum Rail Workshops, North Ipswich

Celebrating all things aviation, rail and autos, as well as showcasing fun-filled machines and methods of transport of all shapes and sizes. Look to the sky for thrilling aerial displays, on the ground explore a diverse mix of interactive exhibits, demonstrations, displays, roving entertainment, food trucks and more!

3 May: QPSR Swanbank Collier
QPSR, Swanbank

Step back in time aboard the ‘Swanbank Collier’ powered by a heritage diesel engine. Explore Swanbank’s rich history and enjoy food and drinks on site – perfect for a nostalgic day out. Bookings essential.

3 May: Park and Pose
Nicholas Street Precinct, Ipswich

Your chance to get up close to an exciting range of classic and muscle cars, plus try your hand at electric Go Karts. Enjoy live music and grab dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.

4 May: Grandchester Model Live Steam Association Running Day
Grandchester

Train enthusiasts young and old will be in their element during this day out in the country, with the hustle and bustle of a real railway station, the locomotives are scaled down versions of actual coal burning steam engines.

4 May: Mustang Car Show
Hotel Commonwealth, Ipswich

Get up close with the action, snap photos of your favourite rides and enjoy the buzzing atmosphere! Afterward, stick around for a delicious lunch and soak up the Sunday vibes.

5 May: Retro Picnic
Evan Marginson Park, Goodna

The Retro Picnic has become a must attend event for classic car and bike enthusiasts for a day of nostalgia and fun. This vibrant gathering features live rock ‘n’ roll tunes, a lively dance floor, a selection of delicious food trucks, and a curated array of vintage and retro stalls.
